Questions? We have answers!
Does my product qualify?
Products must be made in Iowa. The manufacturers' headquarters does not need to be in Iowa. Products must be made using a manufacturing process. For example, a pizza made at a resturant would not qualify, but a frozen pizza mass produced by a plant would.
Who can make a nomination?
All are encouraged to nominate their favorite Iowa-made products. Self-nomination is strongly encouraged. (ABI staff members are excluded from nominating). There is no limit to the number of product nominations per person or per manufacturer.
Do you have to be a member of an organization to be considered for this award?
No. The number of votes received determines the winner.
How will a company know I nominated something it makes?
Companies with products nominated for Coolest Thing Made in Iowa will be notified by ABI.
Can a company have multiple products in the competition?
Yes, but only one product per company can make it into the Top Sixteen.
How is the voting done?
Voting is open to the public and is done through the contest website.
